Our Story
From a single location in Edmonton to becoming Western Canada's favorite pizza chain.
The Pizza 73 Journey
Pizza 73 was founded in 1985 in Edmonton, Alberta, with a simple mission: to create delicious pizzas with quality ingredients and deliver them quickly to hungry customers. Our name comes from our original phone number, which ended in "73" and became synonymous with great pizza across Alberta.
What started as a small family-owned pizzeria has grown into one of Western Canada's most beloved pizza chains, with over 73 locations across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Despite our growth, we've stayed true to our roots - focusing on fresh ingredients, handcrafted pizzas, and the kind of personal service that made us successful from day one.
Throughout our history, we've been pioneers in the pizza delivery industry. We were one of the first pizza chains in Canada to guarantee delivery times, introduce online ordering, and develop a mobile app for our customers. We've also led the way in menu innovation, being among the first major chains to introduce gluten-free, keto, and cauliflower crust options to accommodate our customers' evolving dietary preferences.
Today, Pizza 73 remains committed to the values that built our business: quality, value, innovation, and community. We're proud to be a part of communities across Western Canada and look forward to serving you for many years to come.
